Yes. I’m late getting around to using these.

over christmas my mom gave some photos to me that i hadn’t seen in …….a long time.

some of them i’d never seen but i’m not posting those yet.

there are dozens of those dancing pics in her old albums but these for some reason were tucked in the envelope she gave me.

i love them. that kid was so so so earnest.

mail art 2012 is fun!

making a few pieces of mail art a week and having a total blast.

feels good to make something special for people and know that it will be something they can touch, look at over and over, enjoy, know that it’s not a bill or a coupon mailer……or use as a paper coaster or a bookmark.

whatever. it’s made me focus on beauty and care and people.

and there’s that little thrill of dropping it in the mail box and knowing it’ll cross town and deliver a moment of brightness to someone who is a friend.

well hell. i hope they do that. i’ll just assume that’s the case.

here are a few of the ones i remembered to take pictures of before i sent them off. a couple of them weren’t finished when i took the pic and then i didn’t take a pic of the finished version.

that’s because i got too excited and put them in envelopes, addressed them, stuck the stamp on and ……..no pic. duh.

oh and here’s a line drawing that i did so that richard chandler could paint it with water colors.

i’m excited to see what comes of this collaboration.

G and I are celebrating our bdays “officially” this Friday / Saturday which means eating what we want.

a little stressed about that b/c i JUST got back into my clothes from the holiday glutony but….gotta live it.

all the way. strange how turning 40 didn’t really feel any different but i definitely have allowed myself some permission to ease the fuck up now and again.

somehow i feel more alive that way.
